Wild Birds Unlimited thanks all of its customers for years of support and for making Pathways To Nature Conservation Fund possible. Together we are supporting wildlife refuges across North America and helping millions of people enjoy nature today and well into the future.

Grant availability:
The Pathways To Nature grant funds are currently committed to funding only projects within the National Wildlife Refuge System through 2006. At this time, we are not able to accept grant applications from outside the National Wildlife Refuge system. Thank you for your interest.

Wild Birds Unlimited stands behind its mission to bring people and nature together through its conservation fund, Pathways To Nature. All Wild Birds Unlimited stores donate a portion of proceeds to this fund to support education, conservation and wildlife viewing projects at wildlife refuges, parks, sanctuaries and nature conservancies throughout North America.

Pathways To Nature was established in 1999 and, so far, has donated $740,000 to 25 projects. The projects funded include the creation and maintenance of trails, boardwalks, wildlife-viewing platforms and nature center exhibits. Many of these sites also take advantage of birdfeeder and binocular-lending programs offered by the fund.

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation partners with Wild Birds Unlimited to manage Pathways To Nature and help select recipients. The foundation uses federal funds and a challenge grant program to match Wild Birds Unlimited’s contributions, increasing each grant’s value.
